Mitchell P. Steidl
Managing Director
& Founder

 

A former military officer, Mitch provides the strategic direction for QHS and plays a vital role in ensuring successful business transactions for both our clients and the acquiring entities. He is uniquely suited for this role, having compiled over $700 million in mergers and acquisitions negotiations along with over 250 closed transactions.

 

Mitch has 18 years of transactional experience and therefore understands how to meet our clients' desires and requirements while working within the acquisition criteria of a multitude of buyers. His knowledge of how to walk a deal from beginning to end while side-stepping the many pitfalls along the way helps to create win-win transactions for both our clients and the acquiring companies.

 

Mitch has an MBA in Finance from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a BS in Chemistry from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY. He served our country in various capacities in the US Army for 12 years until receiving an Honorable Discharge while holding the rank of major.

 

Mergers and Acquisitions Experience:

 

  • Negotiated more than $700 million worth of deals in consolidating industries.

 

  • Published article in RCR Wireless News predicting the demise of the tower industry. approximately three months before the industry imploded in 2001 (and predicted the long term growth of the industry).

 

  • Closed more than 500 M&A deals since 1999.

 

  • Developed regional portfolios in eight industries undergoing consolidation encompassing 40 of the top 50 US cities.

 

  • Maintains an active relationship with more than 50 acquiring companies of telecom assets as well as assets and businesses in other consolidating industries.

 

 

James Fitzgibbon
Director

 

Bringing a unique perspective to QHS, LLC, Jim possesses more than ten years of experience in the mergers and acquisitions industry. He has a broad-based background with experience in manufacturing supervision, product marketing and management along with several years in sales including district management and global account management roles. Jim previously served as a military officer attaining the rank of captain before receiving an honorable discharge from the US Army.

 

Jim graduated with an MBA from Clemson University and holds a BS in General Engineering from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY.

 

 

Sharona O'Connell

Associate Director


Sharona O’Connell joined the QHS team in 2012. She brings a wealth of experience and skills to our company. Prior to joining QHS, her professional career included 5 years as an independent marketing consultant in the electronics, technical, and defense industries. Prior to that, she performed the duties of a digital cartographer with one of the largest electrical engineering firms in the Midwest. She is eager to take the experiences she has learned and apply them at QHS in her role in client development and management.

 

Sharona studied at Canterbury Christ Church University in Canterbury, England, on study-abroad program while earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University. She majored in Earth Science.

 

A private pilot and avid rock climber, Sharona is a youth mentor in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of San Diego, and she plays an active role in fundraising events for the San Diego Boys and Girls Club.

 

 

Theodore Steidl

Director


Ted brings a diverse set of managerial, technical and transactional experiences to our company. Beginning his career in the U.S. Air Force, he has completed nearly 24 years of service to his country specializing in aircraft maintenance and has risen to the rank of master sergeant. His civilian career has included managerial and sales positions with a number of high profile companies in the general aviation arena. Ted has overseen highly technical aircraft modifications, and he has extensive knowledge of the inner workings of fixed base operations, aircraft charter and regional airline services. He holds an AAS degree in avionics as well as FCC general class and airframe & power plant licenses.

 

More recently, Ted has worked in the fields of residential and commercial real estate. His honesty, integrity, work ethic and attention to detail helped propel him to receive the Executive Club award for sales volume from RE/MAX International in 2005.

 

Ted has combined his transactional experience and passion for the “art of the deal” along with his extensive knowledge of the aviation industry to assist QHS with portfolio development in the rapidly consolidating aircraft fixed base operations sector.

 

 

Kevin Murphy

Analyst


Kevin Murphy joined the QHS team in 2004 as an intern. Prior to QHS, Kevin worked as an analyst for Albertson's, Inc. While with Albertson's he reviewed real estate documentation and litigation files from previous acquisitions to ensure a uniform information platform in the newly acquired subsidiaries.

 

Kevin graduated from Idaho State University with a B.B.A. in Finance. Being very active on campus and committed to academia, he was voted 2005 Student of the Year by the Associated Students of Idaho State University.

 

While at ISU, Kevin served as the Vice President of Finance for Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity. Along with balancing the budget of one of the largest student organizations at the school, he launched a corporate partnership program giving local businesses campus marketing opportunities.

 

 

J. Kyle Anderson

Analyst

 

Kyle Anderson joined QHS in 2014. He came on board to assist in the analysis of our regional healthcare portfolios.

 

Prior to joining QHS, Kyle was selected to the Student Investment Management Fund at Arizona State University. There, he and 14 other undergraduate students developed a strategy to invest $750,000 in ASU Foundation assets. Also during his undergraduate studies, Kyle served as Senior Vice President of Communications for the Country Music Association’s CMA.EDU chapter at Arizona State.

 

Prior to graduating with a Finance degree at Arizona State, Kyle proudly served a six year enlistment with the US Army where he took part in Operation Enduring Freedom from 2011-2012.
